This picture is the only visible proof I have that I ever played the bass trombone. The immodest fact of the matter is that I was at one time quite a good player. When I formed the band, I practiced less and less frequently.

After the band broke up I did get back to playing trombone on occasion, and even did some recording work, but I never did rise again to the peak level I reached around 1966, while I was a student. I finally sold my horn around 1984, but wish I had one again.

I know I'm recording an overdub for Green Fields here, because that was the only song we played at the time that used trombone.
